Summer Vacation 2008

The Davis' took a week for themselves and their friends and family!! YEA! Jon closed the clinic and we packed our bags and headed to Urbana, Illinois first where we caught up with our dear friends the Tinerella's and just laid low; playing, swimming and talking until the wee hours of morning...well not quite, but if it weren't for the fact that we each have 3 kids, I guarantee we would have! =)

After our days in Urbana, we headed to my aunt's place in Chicago and ended our trip there. We visited the Art Institute and the Field Museum. We took the train into the city and riding on the upper lever was a major event for the kids! =) Those pictures will be added soon.

 
 

Well, this is a preview of how I need to take pics of the boys and the challenge it is to get ONE nice one out of the whole bunch! =) What's your vote for BEST one?

Each year, the week between Christmas and New Years, Jon closes the clinic and takes a break. We love this time as a family and have enjoyed this treat for the past three years. This year we packed the family, found a nice room at The Lodge in Brainerd, MN and enjoyed our time doing very little. Swimming at the water park, bowling, and playing He-Man toys...well, that's what the boys did! We also shared part of the week with our close friends, the Tabatts.
